The City of Fitchburg, MA invites applications for its next public library director.  The Library Director should have a passion for providing exemplary public service and innovative programming in a welcoming environment; a demonstrated commitment to build strong external partnerships and foster collaborations between community groups, schools and organizations; and a strong desire to be visible and serve in the diverse, multicultural community as an active representative of the library.

The Library Director is responsible for all phases of library planning activities, programs, management and daily operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a record of transforming ideas into strategic results-driven initiatives; supervision, development and motivation of staff and a commitment to promote inclusion and diversity.
