Brandeis University seeks to hire a Resource Sharing Coordinator. Reporting to and under the general supervision of the AUL for Scholarly Resources & Discovery, with additional guidance from the Resource Sharing Librarian, the Resource Sharing Coordinator – Borrowing & Document Delivery provides support for patron borrowing requests from other libraries as well as document delivery/digitization requests of materials held in our collection. Key Job Duties:
- Provides outstanding patron support/customer service for all borrowing and document delivery/digitization requests made by Brandeis faculty, staff, researchers, and students that may include conducting bibliographic searches related to requests, troubleshooting problem requests, preparing materials for electronic delivery, verifying copyright compliance, and processing incoming materials. 40%
- Facilitates all borrowing and document delivery/digitization requests for library materials from patrons and borrowing institutions through online technologies. 40%
- Oversees and provides work direction to student employees within the library to ensure timely completion of all borrowing & document delivery services; the incumbent is expected to participate in department and library-wide meetings, working collaboratively with colleagues to improve workflows and assess department performance. 15%
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: B.A./B.S. required. M.A/M.S. preferred.
Work Experience: 3-5 years
Previous resource sharing experience preferred; experience with resource sharing via Alma, OCLC, ILLiad, and Rapid preferred.
