Lesley University seeks a part-time University Archivist to direct and oversee all archival activities and functions of the University Archives. This person will be responsible for the development, administration and assessment of departmental goals, policies and programs related to the University Archives.
The successful candidate will have:
- ALA accredited MLS or Master’s in a related field
- At least one year experience working in archives
- Current knowledge of best practices in archival acquisitions, preservation, description and arrangement in a variety of formats
- Knowledge of basic preservation and conservation issues as they relate to archival collections
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, acquire new skills, and remain current with best practices.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others
