The Nantucket Atheneum, the island’s public library, seeks a creative and energetic Young Adult Librarian to join our team.  This full-time position offers 37.5 hours a week plus benefits and is responsible for maintaining our Young Adult area and creating dynamic programming for our teen patrons.  Additional responsibilities include supervision of the Teen Advisory Board, selection of Young Adult materials for review by the Department Head, and assisting patrons in the YA and Children’s areas in the use of our circulating, non-circulating and digital collections.  This full-time, year-round position includes one evening per week and Saturdays.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with teens, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, have a solid grasp of library ethics, and enjoy working collaboratively.
