Description:
Reporting to the Curator of Visual Collections in Special Collections and Archives (SCUA), this internship is an inter-departmental internship between Special Collections & University Archives, Collection Services, and Digital Scholarship Services. Together with members from these departments, the intern will focus on processing, digitization, and metadata/description of recent under-represented populations and collections acquisitions. These include the Zig Jackson Photography Archive, the John Adair Black Lives Matter Collection, and the Pamela J. Peters Standing Rock Protest Collection.
In addition, the intern will gain experience with accessioning and processing of collections into Alma & ArchiveSpace; digital workflow management to digitize select items from the collections to put on Oregon Digital, the UO’s cultural heritage digital repository; and metadata creation for upload of images into Oregon Digital.
