Title: Youth Services Librarian
Description: This position takes the lead in handling services related to children and teens including administration, programs and outreach, collection management, reader’s advisory and reference. 40 hours per week including one evening, and weekends in rotation.
Compensation: $55,328 to start. Competitive benefits package includes paid time off, health/ dental/ disability/ life insurance, educational assistance, 457(b) deferred compensation plan, pre-tax flex spending account.
Qualifications: An ALA-accredited MLS is required. Knowledge of youth literature, experience working with children, commitment to trying new things, technological savvy, and an excellent customer service attitude are essential.
Must be able to push or pull carts, do a moderate amount of bending, squatting, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), stretching and standing for extended periods of time.
