Waterville Valley BBTS seeks an archives assistant to catalogue 85 years of historical artifacts related to one of the oldest snowsports clubs in America, and prepare material for presentation in consultation with a museum display company already contracted.
The collection is varied, and includes awards, trophies and medals, competition paraphernalia such as soft goods (bibs and race suits), plaques, photos, video, and other materials. Waterville Valley BBTS was founded in 1934 as a social club for families in Massachusetts to experience the positive value of winter recreation in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Today, WVBBTS is one of the largest family ski clubs in the East, includes a world class ski academy, as well as a weekend ski and snowboard program with athletes ranging from 5 to 85 years of age. This is a short-term position, 3-4 weeks. Lodging and a small stipend could be provided if needed. The town of Waterville Valley is in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, surrounded by National Forest and all the outdoor recreation opportunities possible. Waterville Valley is about 2 hours north of Boston.
