The College of Organizational, Computational, and Information Sciences (COCIS) is seeking a graduate student administrator for the 2021-22 academic year. This student will contribute to ongoing faculty support tasks/ projects in a professional capacity. This position requires emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain confidentiality as well as solid office experience and computer and communications skills. Supervisory experience is highly desirable.
The student administrator will work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year at $15 per hour assisting COCIS staff. This administrator will also supervise 2-3 undergraduate students and assign work to them. Ideally this administrator will be available to work four hours per day, five days per week, during the academic year.
Required Skills:
Previous office experience
Supervisory experience
Ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Working knowledge of MS Office and Google suite
Ability to remain professional in an office environment and when working with faculty, staff, and other students
Administrative duties as assigned (but not limited to):
General clerical work (scanning, copying, filing, basic research)
Courier service to other offices/copy mail center
PowerPoint, Doodle polls, graphic design for posters, flyers etc., Punchbowl and Event Brite invitation sites, and other software
Assist faculty and COCIS staff with document prep, technology, events, and special projects
