The University of Maine at Fort Kent is seeking applicants for the Director of the Acadian Archives acadiennes. This position is responsible for the leadership and operations of the Archives. The successful applicant will be responsible for the recommendation and implementation of policies, activities, budgets, and procedures for the Archives. The Director will also take primary responsibility for grant writing, programming, research and publications, exhibit and event planning, and public services.
Required:
- Master’s Degree plus at least one year of relevant experience
- Fluency in written and oral French
- Experience working in an archives, a library, or a museum
Preferred:
- Grant Writing experience
- Good knowledge of the history of the St. John Valley and of Franco-Americans of Maine
- Experience in local, state, national, or international collaborations
Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the salary range is $50K to $55K plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents.
