The Resource Management Specialist reports to the Director of U.S. Information & Research Centers (IRC). This position will support data and information management, acquisition, and assessment, for our industry practice areas. This person will work closely with the Director of U.S. IRC to ensure consistent access and support to relevant data services and vendors, thereby contributing to L.E.K.’s competitive edge. In addition, working in collaboration with the rest of the U.S. Information & Research Center staff, support is given through maintenance of internal and external resources.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing access to online resources including but not limited to login credentials and
technical troubleshooting
• Develop and maintain effective vendor relations to license databases, reports and data sets as
directed
• Provide guidance to consulting staff in the handling of third-party content
• Advise internal Knowledge Management teams on redaction requirements
• Assist with the allocation and reporting of research costs
• Participate in rollout and marketing of new resource and software
• Work with Sectors and other IRC staff to evaluate and test new resources and software
Professional Development:
• Regularly participates in skill development activities both internal and external
• Continually deepens and broadens skill set
Qualifications:
• A professional librarian with an MLS, or equivalent demonstrated work history
• 1-2 years of experience in a corporate information center or similar environment.
• Ability to work as part of a virtual team or independently as required.
• The ability to organize work and negotiate workload to meet deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication abilities
• Detail oriented
• Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate collaboration and teamwork; and demonstrated
superior customer service
• High comfort level working with technology, software, and Excel
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for
complex and detailed work.
