The Healey Library at UMass Boston seeks experienced applicants for the position of Library Desks Service Manager. The Healey Library serves a large, diverse community of students (graduate and undergraduate, in person and online), faculty, staff, and community partners (UMass Boston is the only public research university in the city of Boston). Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Administration and Finance (AD), the Library Desks Service Manager (LDSM) provides leadership, direction, and directly supervises day-to-day circulation, reserves, media desk, and reference desk staffing and operations. A member of the library’s leadership team, the LDSM develops policies and procedures, documents workflows, reviews job descriptions and job assignments, performs evaluations, and assists the AD in the implementation of changes in services.
