Abt Associates is seeking a full-time Knowledge Management Specialist / Library Information Specialist to help support the Abt Research Library. Working with the Abt Librarian, the Library Information Specialist role is essential to delivering high quality library services and assisting research staff to find and access resources for their work. The Specialist will be responsible for running literature searches, supporting research staff in using the library resources, and handling day to day administrative tasks for the library.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Instructs users in finding resources
- Troubleshoots issues related to access to electronic resources
- Supports literature searches.
- Train colleagues by creating guides, videos, and other instructional materials
- Participates in collection development and maintenance
- Compiles metrics and reports as required
- Supports work on internal knowledge management systems and enterprise taxonomy
- Other duties as assigned
