The Parker Library in Dracut, MA seeks an outgoing librarian that is comfortable multi-tasking; who is as comfortable working with patrons as they are with technology.
Under the supervision of the Library Director and the Assistant Director/Head of Reference, the Adult Reference/Electronic Resources Librarian is responsible for providing reference, readers’ advisory and technical assistance to library patrons, assisting with print and electronic collection development, and other related work as required.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, maintaining the library’s website, acting as the library’s primary technology troubleshooter, developing and conducting e-materials and technology training programs for library staff and patrons, developing a long-range technology plan, overseeing our library’s online database licenses and subscriptions, working closely with town and consortium IT departments, and assisting the Library Director and the Assistant Director/Head of Reference with report preparation.
This is a full-time position. Salary is $44,189.60-$62,881.00.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited graduate program required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a public library, or any combination of experience and education.
