Northeastern University Library’s Digital Production unit is looking for a part-time digitization assistant. The assistant will reformat library and archival materials. This is a great opportunity to help shape and document workflows in a growing digitization program.
Responsibilities:
- Digitize documents using an Epson Expression 11000XL flatbed scanner and Bookeye 4 scanner.
- Reformat AV materials and create access copies using FFmpeg.
- Other duties as necessary, including possible metadata creation.

- Ability to quickly learn new technology
- Collaborative working style and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility in dealing with change
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the digitization of flat items or AV materials

This position is up to 17 hours per week at $15/hour. It is an unbenefited, term position through the end of June with the possibility of extension.
