Description: 

The Nichols Library Board of Trustees seeks a self-directed, customer-focused and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about libraries and their role in small communities to serve as Interim Library Director.  This individual will help create a new, non-traditional and innovative service model for our library, while providing core library services to the Center Harbor community during this unprecedented and challenging time.

Salary is commensurate with experience.  This is a part-time position starting at 18 hours per week.

Recommended Qualifications: 

• Baccalaureate degree.
•  Master’s degree in Library Science  preferred. 
• Minimum of three years in library work or other relevant experience. 
• Familiarity with current library software and technologies, as well as social media platforms. 
• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and be flexible as these challenging times may require. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills. 
• Communicates effectively in writing and verbally.
•  A  genuine love of reading and libraries.
