The University of Maine System is seeking to hire a Department Head for Library Academic Support Initiatives. The work location is the University of Maine in Orono at the Raymond H. Fogler Library. The Department Head for Library Academic Support Initiatives provides support for Fogler Library to further the access to library resources, both purchased and created in-house. Plans for, creates, or responds to library initiatives that help disseminate, preserve, or otherwise make library resources available now and for the future. All work and initiatives are to provide for support for teaching, learning, and research and to facilitate learner success. Support may extend to other UMS libraries that share software or technologies.
Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the annual salary range is low $60s to low $80s plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. The UMS is a recipient of the Wellness Councils of America’s Well Workplace Award and offers a wellness program.
