The Office of the Dean for the College of Social Sciences, Policy, and Practice (CSSPP) is looking to hire one Graduate Assistant to provide administrative/office and programmatic support. The ideal candidate is engaged, pro-active, and aligns with the CSSPP mission statement:

This position is available immediately, averaging 8–10/hrs per week during the Fall 2020 semester. The intention is for the successful candidate to continue in the spring. Hourly rate: $16–18.
Responsibilities can include but not limited to:
- Working directly with our online programs, field, and internships.
- Working with faculty & staff to promote events throughout the year.
- Marketing/communications assistance in support of CSSPP departments and programs.
- Assisting with other special projects and duties as requested and according to talents.
Qualifications and considerations include:
- Must be enrolled in a Simmons graduate program (at least two courses), maintaining good standing throughout employment.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, responsible, and self-motivated.
- Demonstrated professionalism in working with faculty, staff, and high-level administrators and in managing confidential matters while ensuring that Simmons’s information security best practices are followed.
- Demonstrated project management and customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Adobe Acrobat.
- Ideal candidate has familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud apps (InDesign, Photoshop) or similar graphic design apps, and an interest/ability to learn new apps.
This position will be fully remote during the fall semester with hours to be determined and based on project needs, but typically falling within the normal University business hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The CSSPP Graduate Assistant will work closely with the Executive Assistant and other CSSPP staff and administrators.
