Live Oak Public Libraries is seeking experienced, innovative and thoughtful candidates for the Director, Library Experiences. This position works collaboratively with the existing Director, Library Experiences to coordinate and continuously improve experiences for customers of a regional system serving Chatham, Effingham and Liberty Counties in beautiful Southeast Coastal Georgia through 16 library locations and community outreach.

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the two Directors of Library Experiences work collaboratively to coordinate and continuously improve library experiences for Live Oak Public Library customers. The Directors of Library Experiences serve as members of the Leadership Team.

Candidates must possess an ALA-accredited Master in Library and Information Science; Georgia Public Library Certification of G-5 is required. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience managing community libraries, staff and system projects/initiatives. Experience with staff development will help you succeed in a learning organization that takes pride in community, staff and services. A full job description is below.
