The Upstate Health Sciences Library (library.upstate.edu) at Upstate Medical University seeks two Liaison Services Librarians to join our team. The successful candidates will be self-motivated and enthusiastic about providing information services to the Upstate communities. The Liaison Services Librarians provide information services to the faculty, staff, and students of the University.

On the job you will:
- provide information services to faculty, staff, and students
- assist walk-in customers with their information and research needs
- teach information literacy sessions for various departments and colleges
- participate in new student, faculty, and resident orientations
- provide library tours
- develop subject guides
- participate in library assessment activities
- contribute to librarian on-call shifts during open hours, answering questions via chat, phone, and email
- serve on library, faculty, and university-wide committees

Minimum Qualifications:
- commitment to providing exemplary customer service and providing information services to customers
- demonstrated ability to teach at all levels
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written skills
- ability to contribute in a team environment with colleagues across the library and university.
Preferred Qualifications:
- experience in an academic or health sciences library
- experience providing information literacy instruction
- familiarity with citation management software including: Endnote, Mendeley, and RefWorks
- knowledge of evidence-based practices
- familiarity with major biomedical databases used in academic health sciences libraries including: PubMed, Embase, and CINAHL
- knowledge of Springshare tools such as Libguides
- experience with large-scale literature reviews, scoping reviews, and systematic reviews
- experience creating web tutorials
- membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP)
