We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Technical Librarian to join our dynamic team.
On any given day, you may be called on to
- Participate in and contribute to all aspects of library activities.
- Determine what types of technical literature searches and sources of information meet the information needs of Sandia National Laboratories researchers.
- Conduct searches of technical literature, analyze and evaluate data, extract pertinent information, and prepares abstracts and bibliographies.
- Maintain and provide extensive knowledge of literature resources.
- Assist in the selection of literature for inclusion in the library’s collection.
- Provide instruction and support for users of library and information service.
- Generate reports and provide library usage metrics to management.
- Collaborate with library users to develop and promote library services.
Qualifications We Require
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with any of the following: collection management, document delivery, electronic resources and reference material
- Experience with information technologies such as search and discovery, library automation, article link-resolvers, collaboration, wikis; website development and maintenance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Q-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire
- Knowledge of bibliographic management software,such as EndNote
- Demonstrated ability to instruct and support library and information service users
- Familiarity with the content of scientific, engineering, and government information resources
- Knowledge and understanding of the nature and function of libraries and library services in both print and digital contexts
- Knowledge of bibliographic records, metadata formats, publication formats, and integrated library systems

Security Clearance
