Library Director, Freetown Public Libraries, Assonet, MA

The Board of Selectmen and Library Trustees are seeking applications for the position of a Library Director.  The position will be a contract position starting at $31.00 per hour, 35 hours per week. Experience is required as well a some nights and weekends. 

 

Qualifications

BA or BS; Certification of Sub-professional Librarianship issued by the Board of Library Commissioners, and working on or completion of the Basic Library Techniques  classes offered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. These classes consist of training in administration, cataloging, materials selection and reference. These classes must be completed within five years of hire.  Minimum of seven years working in a library environment, including at least three years of progressively responsible public library experience. Experience with Workflow system or similar system preferred

 

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Education: BA/BS

Salary: $31.00 per hour 35 hours per week
