We are seeking a Membership & Research Intern for our summer internship program who will assist a linked data pilot project team with project partner communications, library metadata analysis, and linked data conversion processes. Dates for the internship will be from May 11, 2020 to August 14, 2020 working full time during the summer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Email and web conference communications with pilot project participants

  • Evaluating user feedback for potential system improvements

  • Testing software and reporting bugs/problems

 

Qualifications:

  • One or more years of graduate education in Library Science, Information Science; or one or more years of college with a major in Computer Science or Engineering. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.

  • Familiarity with principles of library science, information science, or information retrieval

  • Familiarity with HTML and JavaScript

  • Familiarity with library standards

  • Familiarity with MS Office

  • Familiarity with JSON, linked data, taxonomies/ontologies
