Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, Kraft Analytics Group, Foxboro, MA

Summary

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for the creation of visualizations, analysis, and dashboards using Tableau to give business owners insights to their data. The ideal candidate will have a creative eye, exposure to UX design principles, and the ability to weave meaningful stories out of data. Qualified candidates will be able to take complex concepts and translate them into stunning interactive design. The role will work closely with data engineers and end users across all technical abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business Intelligence Implementation
    • Create intuitive visualizations and dashboards to provide insights to clients
    • Assist in prototyping and wire-framing of new solutions across novel business units
    • Refine best practices for visualization, delivery and interpretation of results, and design
    • Anticipate clients’ needs by identifying opportunities in workflows for new visualizations or dashboards
    • Collaborate with end users to guide and gather requirements for implementation

  • Continuous Development
    • QA, maintain, and implement changes to existing visualizations
    • Implement existing product for new clients
    • Iterate and improve performance of dashboards
    • Document and maintain functional specs
    • Participate in Agile scrum methodology

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field, preferred

  • 2 year + of experience with a BI Visualization tool such as Tableau, Microstrategy, Tibco, etc.

  • Strong understanding of SQL and ability to troubleshoot data issues

  • Translate user requirements into reports, dashboards, and data extracts

  • Recommend and create necessary data audits to ensure accurate reporting

  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills to all levels of technical expertise

  • Very high attention to detail and strong motivation to learn new skills

Physical Demands 

  • Sitting for extended periods of time

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment
