Data Science Intern, Kraft Analytics Group, Foxboro, MA

Summary

An intern within the Data Science & Analytics group of the Kraft Analytics Group (KAGR) will have the opportunity to join a fun, dynamic team and will help to solve business and data problems relating to the business side of the sports and entertainment industry. The Data Science & Analytics Intern will be a problem solver who has a passion for data and interest in the application of advanced analytics in the business of sports and entertainment. The position will involve assisting with the execution of Data Science & Analytics team products (include a variety of predictive models, marketing analytics, forecasting, development of sales and business analytics, etc). The intern will have the opportunity for hands on experience with quantitative analysis of customer behavior and formulating actionable recommendations to drive business decisions. The right candidate will be motivated to learn, contribute to the team and organization, and grow along with the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and summarize data for project-specific needs

  • Perform data analysis and create data visualizations

  • Collaborate with team members to come up with creative solutions to client challenges

  • Contribute to complex data analyses and model builds

  • Assist with preparation of presentations including customer deliverables and internal documentation

  • Maintain and document all work associated to analyses and data science products

  • Additional projects and assignments based on business need and skillset of the candidate

Skills and Qualificiations

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or quantitative discipline

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with full Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with SQL, R or Python preferred

  • Ability to work within a diverse team and meet various deadlines

  • Outstanding organizational skills and keen attention to detail

  • Positive, self-motivated individual with high level of enthusiasm, natural curiosity and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments

  • Knowledge of statistical and predictive modeling techniques preferred
