This Supervisor position is based in the busy and cozy East Springfield Branch of our progressive library system. The person selected for this position will be part of a dynamic team and focus on reference, reader’s advisory, outreach, and programming. Work is performed under the general direction of the Branch Manager. This 37.5 hour/week position pays $28.89 an hour, with a generous benefits package, for an annual salary of $56,346.27.

 

Candidates should have an ALA-accredited MLS and three years of professional experience in a library setting. Excellent customer service orientation is needed, and a “turned outward” approach to community engagement is ideal. Bilingual abilities desirable (English and Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese or other community language). The City of Springfield has a residency requirement and allows new hires up to a year to establish residency.
