Library Director, Dublin Public Library, Dublin, NH

The Trustees of the Dublin (N.H.) Public Library are accepting applications for the position of Library Director.  The position is for 28 hours per week.

 

Our Library’s vision is to be a vital, welcoming part of our community,  providing access to information and ideas for Dublin residents of all ages and interests, creating life-long readers and learners. 

 

We seek a person who demonstrates the ability to support our vision, who exemplifies strategic thinking, collaboration and inclusive leadership skills,  flexibility and adaptability and who has a willingness to  embrace and drive change.  The ideal candidate will be dynamic, creative and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both patrons and staff, welcoming and helpful to all.

 

The Library Director reports to the Board of Trustees and oversees part-time staff members.   The Director has the responsibility of all functions of the library;  assists in the budgeting process; writes policies along with the Board of Trustees and is responsible for carrying them out; oversees all programming and other operations of the library.  Programming includes, but is not limited to, preschool story times, book clubs and community events.

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree required.  Master’s Degree in Library Science preferred.  Experience in the field is required.
