Mathematical Sciences and Statistics Librarian, Brigham Young University, Provo, UT

The Mathematical Sciences and Statistics Librarian works one-on-one and in a classroom setting to provide research assistance and instruction, connects regularly with teaching faculty, develops and manages subject-assigned collections, and actively engages in research and scholarship.

 

Degree Requirements

  • MLS from an ALA-accredited institution PLUS either 1) a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or a closely related field, or 2) five years of associated academic library experience; 

or

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or a closely related science. Individuals hired without a Master of Library Science must complete the MLS degree within a specific period of time (a minimum of 36 months).
