The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications for an assistant professor in the area of School Librarianship and Library Science.
The UNO School Library/Library Science Program is nationally reviewed and recognized by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL). The program’s robust growth and success are a result of its close ties to school, public, academic and special library communities all over Nebraska and the Midwest. The School Library/Library Science program is seeking candidates who have experience in technology, literacy and culturally relevant pedagogies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in school library/library science;
- Participate in student advising, conduct research and publish in field
- Provide service to a metropolitan educational community.
Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate preferred;
- ABD considered;
- Experience in school, public, academic and/or special libraries;
- Record of outstanding teaching;
- Potential for or record of research and publication;
- Experience in or knowledge of distance education pedagogy and emerging technologies.
Rank and Salary: Assistant Professor. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will begin August 2020.
