Call for Proposals: MSLA Conference 2020

The Massachusetts School Library Association is seeking presenters who will share their expertise, experience, and strategies at our annual conference.  This year’s theme, We Can Do It!: School libraries build strong communities, focuses on exploring all the ways that school librarians build and support community both in and out of school buildings.  We welcome proposals for sessions on a wide range of topics in a variety of formats. Use the guide below to assist in planning your proposal.

 

Submit your proposal online through the following link by October 29th, 2019. 

 

Please prepare this information: 

  • Title of your session

  • Type of Format & Area of Focus

  • Grade Level/Audience

  • Session Description (maximum of 300 words)

  • Short Session Description (maximum of 3 sentences) for use on the conference website and guide

  • Lead presenter(s) name, title, email address and phone number (maximum of two lead presenters)

  • Other presenter(s) titles and email addresses (maximum of 5 including up to 2 lead presenters)

  • Name and address of school/district or business

  • Brief biographical sketch of each presenter

 

Conference Presenter Policies:

  • Presenters are expected to present on the information confirmed in the Speaker Agreement provided prior to the conference. Any changes in content must be reviewed and approved by the conference committee.  

  • Presenters are expected to provide organizers with links to their session content and materials prior to the conference and to bring a sufficient number of copies if they choose to provide handouts.

  • Lead presenter(s) (maximum of two) will pay a reduced registration fee for the day of the presentation ($50 to cover the cost of food).

  • Additional presenters will pay the full registration rate.
