Biogen is looking for a student co-op (20 hours per week) Information Governance analyst to be located at its Headquarters in Cambridge, MA. The individual will assist Senior Information Governance Manager in executing Information Governance and data life-cycle activities.

Biogen is looking for a student co-op (20 hours per week) Information Governance analyst to be located at its Headquarters in Cambridge, MA. The individual will assist Senior Information Governance Manager in executing Information Governance and data lifecycle activities. This role will provide a hands-on opportunity to see Information Governance practices and principles applied in a corporate setting. The IG Analyst will be an active participant in the implementation and maintenance of Biogen’s information governance program.
Representative Responsibilities:
- Support execution of policies and procedures related to the management, storage and retention of information (physical and electronic): Acts as liaison with business functions with regards to support of records management operational practices (e.g., archiving, etc.).
- Compare data sets to known records sets to ensure record sets are complete.
- Collaborate with information custodians in the management of the offsite records inventory to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Process lab notebooks to ensure they can be managed and tracked.
- Support the Record Management System and update reference information to enhance visibility to records and enhance compliance.
- Other related tasks as appropriate.

- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Education:
We would expect successful candidate to have both relevant experience and potential for further growth. We anticipate successful candidates will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business management or computer science preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Pursuing M.S. in Library Science or related field preferred.
