Application Process:

Federal employers use WWW.USAJOBS.GOV as the web link through which job seekers apply to specific job announcements. The following step-by-step instructions will help you locate and apply for Software Engineering Center engineer and science jobs:

  • Start at the WWW.USAJOBS.GOV home page. You must have a USAJOBS user account before you apply to any job opening. If you do not, you can create an account at LOGIN. USAJOBS.GOV/ACCOUNT/CREATE.
  • Follow the instructions to establish account.
  • Log in to account. In the center of the page, under “BEGIN YOUR JOB SEARCH,” enter into the KEYWORDS search box “RECENT GRADUATE” and “ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MARYLAND” into the LOCATION search box.
  • SEARCH. Search results will include the current Software Engineering Center, engineer and science jobs targeted at soon to be graduated college students.
  • From that search result list, select the job title in which you have interest to start the application process. Click on ‘APPLY” on the right side of the page. You will be prompted through a several step process. You will be asked to upload an existing, or build a new, resume by adding education, professional or personal references and various other relevant information about yourself. Once complete, that resume will be archived under your account and available for all job applications within USAJOBS. Depending on the job announcement, in the next step, you may be asked to add additional documents.
  • Open the “REQUIRED DOCUMENTS” tab on the right hand side of the page and scroll down to review the list of what you need to upload or complete. You will be further prompted to Review your digital package to ensure you have included all documents. USAJOBS will ask you where you heard about the job, please mark “I attended a recruitment event.”
  • Upon certification of your information, you will be redirected from USAJOBS to the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command local job application site, to collect additional information and complete your position application. You will be able to review your application before final submission.
