Fall 2017 Internship Description
Science, Technology & Engineering Department Curricula Intern
Specific Duties: The intern will participate in organizing, identifying & culling curricula to meet our learner’s diverse needs. This internship will be project-based and requires strong communication & organization skills.
Likely activities include:
- Working with the Curriculum Coordinator, identifying newly aligned curriculum materials for the revised 2016 standards for Biology, Health, General Science, Technology & Engineering
- Organize in accessible format current, relevant curriculum (Google docs, Smartboard Interactive Whiteboard, Wiki pages, etc.)
- Organize several versions of differentiated curricula of a course of study.
- Digitize any remaining in-house materials that are current to the new standards
- Eliminate irrelevant lessons
Optimal Scheduling: Flexible, but preferably Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays
Desired Qualifications:
- Independent, self-starting individual
- Professional presentation & manner
- Experience with data file management & digital organizational systems
- Knowledge of online resources
- Google docs/drive
- Interest in science & providing accessible knowledge to our students in K-10
