The Thomas Memorial Library is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and innovative individual for the part-time position of Young Adult Librarian. After opening a newly renovated and expanded facility in February of 2016, the Thomas Memorial Library is looking towards its bright future. This is a newly created position dedicated to serving and engaging the teen and tweens of Cape Elizabeth. The Library is looking for someone with a passion for working with young people who will create programs and build collections to prepare them for a rewarding and successful life in a dynamic and ever changing world.
If you believe in the positive impacts that a public library can make in a community’s young people, then this position may be for you. A bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s in Library Science preferred (current MLS students and recent graduates are welcome to apply). This is a part-time position (28 hours / week) with prorated benefits through the Town of Cape Elizabeth. It could include regular evening and Saturday hours. Salary range is $25,000 to $27,475 depending on qualifications and experience.
