Job Description:
This unpaid internship is an opportunity to work in a small public library in western Massachusetts. Learn the administrative tasks, cataloging procedures, reference skills and acquisition methods needed to keep a library in buzzing during the busy summer months. Over twenty summer reading events will allow contact with patrons of all ages. A great opportunity to meet the building committee, the architect and the project manager who are working with the Library Director to build a new library. The Town of Erving passed an article in May to fund a new library contingent on state funding to be announced on July 13, 2017.
