Scanning and Transcription Volunteers, New England Historic Genealogical Society, Boston, MA

We are currently digitizing church records and need volunteers both for scanning and transcription of these volumes. 

Scanning volunteers must be able to come in person to 99-101 Newbury Street, lift large books up to 20 lbs, and exhibit care while handling old materials. 

Transcription volunteers may work from off-site, transcribing the scans.  Volunteers must be willing to read and interpret cursive handwriting and use Excel.
