Children’s & Youth Services Librarian, Seabrook Library, Seabrook, NH

Duties:  Dynamic, innovative Children’s and Youth Librarian needed for full-time (40 hours) position in a creative and supportive library on New Hampshire’s beautiful seacoast. The job entails complete responsibility for all services and programs for children and teens. The Children’s area is a bright, airy 2,500 square feet, with another 512 square foot craft/story time room with large adjoining office. 14,000 items in the collection, including a puppet theater. We need someone who can work with minimal supervision to select materials, plan, organize and promote programs, mount displays, provide reference and reader’s advisory assistance, and serve as liaison with the elementary school and community. Occasional coverage of circulation desk also required. The library is spacious, fully computerized and boasts a terrific staff and working conditions.

Qualifications: ALA-MLS, with at least one year experience in library services to children or M.Ed with three years in library services to children; computer skills required. 2 evenings per week.
