The Teaching & Learning Application Support Analyst, in collaboration with the Manager of the Academic System group, assists with the Simmons-supported teaching & learning applications in all facets of administration, documentation and training.
Support LMS administrator with all responsibilities of the Simmons Moodle LMS, including but not limited to:
- Provide ongoing assistance to instructors and builders in the building/deployment of online course sites; troubleshoot online course functionality such as discussion boards, surveys, quizzes, exams, course multimedia, etc.
- Assist with semester specific administrative tasks including creating course templates, ensuring accurate course creation & course enrollments.
- Draft, update and coordinate distribution of semester LMS-specific email notifications/newsletters for new and returning faculty and students.
- Assist and train users with uploading and building online course sites (includes the placement of text, files, images and digital media) within the learning management system, under the supervision of the Teaching & Learning Technologies Support Manager.
- Develop and update training aids and documentation for Simmons Moodle, Tegrity, GoToMeeting, Turnitin and other academic systems used by College to support technology-mediated instruction.
- Serve as Tier 3 support contact for all enterprise teaching and learning applications managed by the academic systems group as well as provide ongoing training and support to the Simmons Service desk for all said teaching and learning applications.
