Summary We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who will be responsible for planning, developing and managing systems and processes for capturing IPR’s intellectual capital and research from publicly available sources, and making them available to staff so they can leverage it fully and build upon it in their day-to- day work. A key part of this role involves the cultivation of a knowledge-sharing, collaborative, and learning culture in IPR. The Knowledge Management and Information Technology Manager will manage the IT specialists within the organization, and will report directly to a Managing Director.

What You’ll Do …
Knowledge Management
- Manage the Knowledge Management lifecycle, from planning to design, implementation and review.
- Manage any project or programs under the purview of KM, including the collection and distribution and reuse of IPR information, the development and maintenance of SharePoint, SQL or other data/information applications.
- Ensure that KM policies and programs are aligned with organizational priorities, and that these are understood by staff; ensure that KM priorities are embedded in company programs and practices.
- Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders and engage with multi-functional teams comprised of various resources to ensure to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Manage the process of uploading, cleaning and organizing of qualitative and quantitative sources in IPR’s private research library.
- Work with analysts to identify knowledge needs, oversee development of solutions that address these needs, and orchestrate efforts of analysts in accessing knowledge.
- Monitor the use and evaluate the effectiveness of KM initiatives and components.
- Lead SharePoint/tool development activities:
- Oversee and prioritize activities of IPR’s Database Developer.
- Customize lightweight tools and access to ensure fullest possible use of research and knowledge across the organization.
- Maintain SharePoint intranet applications and assist end users in usage.
- Research and identify other tools for the support of modeling, analytics, data mining or other activities to support our clients and employees.
KM Training Program Coordination
- Develop, deliver and monitor internal curriculums that provide in-depth training for key components of the knowledge management program.
- Develop and monitor external curriculums for enhancing skills and knowledge in analytics, methodology and other key areas.
Information Technology Strategy and Operations
- Lead the innovative and effective use of technology in all areas to enhance company communication and delivery of services.
- Monitor, assess and implement appropriate new technologies to maximize IPR’s operational effectiveness, efficiency and productivity, to support the successful implementation of IPR’s goals and strategies.
- Manage staff who are responsible for implementation and operation of hardware and OS platforms, including (but not limited to) Office 365, Active Directory, on-premise and hosted servers, VMware, and networking.
- Manage security policy development, implementation, and maintenance; ensure IT staff are carrying out regular diagnostics in support of security policy.
- Ensure that IT activities are aligned with the priorities of the organization and with user needs.
Staff Management
- Supervise, manage and coach direct reports, supporting their training and development and providing regular performance feedback.
Support Management Team in Strategy, Planning and Assessment
- Assist and advise the management team with organizational initiatives such as business and strategy development, IT policy, training and KM initiatives.
What You’ll Bring …
- Graduate degree in business administration, library science, knowledge management, information management, information technology, computer science, organizational development or a related field of study;
- Experience in design and implementation of tools, systems, and processes that promote communication and collaboration within an organization;
- Experience with online document/content/knowledge management systems;
- Understanding of IT systems architecture;
- Significant experience training and mentoring others;
- Demonstrated skills managing complex projects;
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize and communicate complex issues to a variety of audiences;
- Self-starter who is highly organized and who has demonstrated success when dealing with ambiguous or complex issues;
- Ability to lead and motivate colleagues even in the absence of a formal reporting relationship.
- Preferred experience includes:
- Experience with change management, business process reengineering, and/or business analysis;
- Proficiency in Office 365;
- Experience with SharePoint site administration and Active Directory;
- Track record of leading, developing and managing technical teams, systems and services; demonstrated comfort with new and emerging technologies and their deployment in support of organizational priorities;
- Experience supporting small-medium scale infrastructure and networking;
- Experience with establishing company security policy or dealing with security issues;
- Familiarity with SQL database applications.
