On-call Children’s Reference Librarian, Wellesley Free Library, Wellesley, MA

The Wellesley Free Library is seeking an On-call Reference Librarian to work on an “as needed” basis in the Children’s Department. The principal work of the incumbent is to assist patrons of the children’s department in the Main Library. Other duties may include conducting story programs for a wide variety of audiences, including public and private school classrooms in Wellesley, at the main library and at both branch libraries. The hourly rate is $23.50 and the position is not benefit eligible.

Requires: MLS or completion of applicable coursework in an MLS degree program; strong customer service skills; and demonstrated knowledge of effective children’s services techniques.
