ABOUT THE JOB
The Software Engineer Co-Op position in Data Processing will be a member of Data Management group, responsible for developing enterprise Master Data Management solutions by adopting industry leading technology and engineering practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Have an intense passion for data, matching algorithms (soundex, levinshtien, double megaphone), full text search, data profiling and cleaning.
- A desire for experience with hierarchical and relational database architecture and schema designed to achieve high performance and throughput.
- An interest in developing a working knowledge and experience with one of the database management software: PosgreSql, Oracle, MySql, MongoDb
- A focus on developing coding experience in Java, Python and design patterns
- A desire to know more about best practice within industry and coding standards.
- Interested in designing queue centric workflow for data pipelines (ETL, Replication, BigData)
- Are curious and avid learner

- Highly motivated individual eager to learn
- Ability to responsibly handle confidential information
- Good team member – reliable
- Poised to able to handle high level of activity and remain grounded
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- “People skills”
- Strong communication skills
