Job Description: recruiting a GS-5 Museum Technician position in Quincy, MA. The job entails preservation and protection of five historic exhibit areas including the “OLD HOUSE”, “two Presidential Birthplace homes, and a 12,000 volume library. Duties include; assisting in preservation housekeeping, scheduled cleaning of museum collections and artifacts including but not limited to historic books, furniture, textiles, ceramics; processing photographs, implementing pest management, and environmental monitoring. Assist curator with annual inventory and implementation of environmental monitoring program.
