Part-time Archivist, Martha’s Vineyard Museum, Edgartown, MA

The Martha’s Vineyard Museum seeks a part-time professional Archivist (16 -20 hours/week) for its Gale Huntington Research Library. Experience with rehousing and cataloging of print, photographic, cartographic, and audio/visual materials according to archival standards is required. The successful applicant will also have knowledge of basic archival principles, standards, and best practices, including the following:

• Experience writing EAD-encoded finding aids
• Experience with DACS-compliant archival arrangement and description
• Experience with MARC records
• Experience with LCSH, LCNAF, and AAT controlled vocabularies

M.L.I.S. with archival coursework, or present enrollment in such a program, is preferred.
