Digital asset management assistant, Harvard Law School, Cambridge, MA

We would like to hire a student digital asset management assistant. We currently have over 150,000 images in our DAM system (we use Portfolio Extensis) and will need to add additional images and video this summer. Our current collection is used by multiple departments throughout Harvard Law School and externally and is the primary digital photo collection of “current” law school images. We are looking for someone who has substantial experience working with and managing digital asset management systems and has an understanding of working with taxonomies and metadata. The student would also assist with our WordPress site helping us to add new content, clean up old content, and help with WordPress media library.
Skills: Familiarity with WordPress, Photoshop; strong communications skills; strong visual skills; Independent worker and self starter, does not require extensive direction strong attention to detail and someone who is naturally curious and motivated, collaborative, and willing to take on all tasks. Position begins in May.
