Job Description

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Serials & Metadata Librarian is responsible for managing the acquisition, access, maintenance, and preservation of continuing resources in all formats. The Serials & Metadata Librarian implements and monitors all library systems and technologies related to the bibliographic control and preservation of continuing titles. In addition, the incumbent is expected to participate in library planning, committees and task forces and to participate in campus, regional, and national professional development and collaborative activities.

Required Skills

Master’s degree in Library or Information Science from an accredited program required. One to three years of experience in library resource management; experience with automated serials control, electronic resource management systems, library knowledge bases, discovery tools, and OCLC; knowledge of, or experience with, digital archive solutions such as LOCKSS and Portico; demonstrated supervisory abilities and experience.
