Due to a retirement, there will a part time vacancy for a library teacher at Newton North High School. Candidates should possess these abilities:

• Knowledge of electronic databases and digital tools and ability to instruct students in their use;
• Possesses a knowledge of YA Literature along with strategies to promote reading among Young Adults;
• Willing to take initiative and make outreach to high school teaching staff to integrate Inquiry and collaborate in Project Based Learning;
• Ability to work collaboratively with 2 additional NNHS library teachers, forming a team with a common vision for the high school library program;
• Recognizes the need to meet student  academic and social needs in the library learning commons setting and possesses the interpersonal skills to achieve that balance in a positive way.
