Description: The Lane Memorial Library is seeking a creative, detail oriented library professional to join our library leadership team. We
are located “in town” in the beach community of Hampton, NH near the MA border. Our community has a population of 15,000 residents in the Fall, Winter, and Spring and we swell to an unverified 100,000 people in the Summer. Roughly 80% of residents hold library cards in our community and make regular use of our 16,500 sq. feet library and collection of 84,000 titles.
This full time department head will work closely with all members of the staff but especially with the three other department heads within the building and must be a genial, team player in all aspects of their work. Additionally, this position directly supervises the Technical Services Librarian/Cataloger.
The Lane Memorial Library prides itself on providing helpful service to the Hampton community and beyond as well as cultivating an affable work environment. The successful candidate will have all of the requisite technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills including communication and adaptability. Our emphasis on people is not at the expense of our technological offerings. The Head of Technical Services oversees a considerable network of servers, computers, multi-function printers, telephones, and attending software.

Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS preferred. System administration experience required; Supervisory experience required; Customer
service experience required; experience in a public library setting preferred. Must be able to carry and move up to 30 lbs of equipment and climb under desks and up ladders to connect wiring.

Wage: $22.24-$28.68/hour, depending on education and experience.
