Children’s Department Reference Librarian (On-Call), Wellesley Free Library, Wellesley, MA

The Wellesley Free Library is seeking an On-call Reference Librarian to work on an “as needed” basis in the Children’s Department of the main library and at both branch libraries. The principal work of the incumbent is to conduct story programs for a wide variety of audiences, including public and private school classrooms in Wellesley, and to assist patrons of the children’s department in the Main Library. The hourly rate is $23.50 and the position is not benefit eligible.

Requires:

• MLS or completion of applicable coursework in an MLS degree program
• Strong customer service skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective children’s services techniques
