Wage/Salary: $24.13-$28.92 in seven steps
DUTIES: Primary areas of responsibility:
1. Develops, manages and facilitates comprehensive services, programs and collections for Young Adults.
2. Provides adult references services.
- Develops and provides both traditional reference services and transformational 21st century technology instruction.
- Establishes community outreach partnerships with individuals, organizations and schools.
- Provides assistance, support and instruction in the Digital Media Lab and with 3D printing.
- Partners with Head of the Reference Department to develop cutting edge, state of the art programs.
- Maintains Young Adult webpage, and promotes services using standard and social media venues.
- Participates in library committees.
- Supervises student volunteers.
- Conducts special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree or degree candidate in Library and Information Science required, with two years related work experience. Thorough knowledge of young adult materials, literature and contemporary trends. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer software proficiency to include most recent Windows editions, Word and Excel. Additional familiarity with Dreamweaver, Adobe Creative Suite, Tinkercad, Cura, Apple products and other software highly desirable. Demonstrated ability with innovation, technology and diverse 21st century library practices. Familiar with the maker movement. Enthusiastic, out-going, out-of the box thinker/tinker wanted!
