College Archivist, Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, PA

The College Archivist is responsible for ensuring preservation of and access to, the permanent records of Bryn Mawr College in all formats, and providing professional leadership and expertise in the management of the College’s records. The College Archivist also plays a critical role in promoting an understanding of the College’s history through presentations, online and physical exhibitions, social media, and oral history projects, and contributes to the work of The Albert M. Greenfield Digital Center for the History of Women’s Education. The College Archivist is a member of the Special Collections Department, which manages the College’s extensive and important collections of rare books, manuscripts, art works and artifacts, and works collaboratively with department members to provide reference service and plan cataloging, preservation and public programming activities. The College Archivist will also work closely with colleagues at Haverford and Swarthmore Colleges, as part of the Tri-College Library Consortium.
