Children’s Reference Librarian, Wellesley Free Library, Wellesley, MA

The Wellesley Free Library is seeking a part-time Reference Librarian to work in the Children’s Department of the Main library and at both branches. The principle work of the applicant is to deliver high quality reference service to children, parents, and caregivers from the Children’s Reference Desk.

Additional tasks include conducting programs for a wide variety of audiences including in school classrooms, and helping to maintain the children’s materials collections.

The hourly rate is $25.04, the work schedule is less than 20 hours/week, and the position is not benefit eligible. 

Requires: MLS; strong customer service skills; and demonstrated knowledge of effective children’s services techniques.
